Liquorice Allsorts
Here is some jewellery I created just the other day with some liquorice allsorts beads (yep there not real there actually made from polymer clay lol) that I bought.
Had a few problems photographing this morning as in the UK it is very overcast ( although the sun now seems to have come out lol). These picture were originally very dark but I decided to use my new programme that I downloaded for free from Microsoft it is called windows live photo gallery. It is a brilliant programme which allows you to straighten photographs and also lighten. Another feature of the programme is it allows you to create panoramic photos from your pictures which I tested out and it works brilliantly.

Father’s Day
This year my birthday fell on the same day as father’s day (21st June). Here is a picture of the card I gave my Dad. It is a word book which I designed in DS using the Mickey Font Cartridge. I then decorated it with stamped images from the Daisy and Dandelion ‘Down in the woods’ men’s range. I also used my big shot to emboss some backgrounds for it and did a bit of triple embossing and threw a couple of buttons into the mix.
My Birthday Party!
The day before my 18th Birthday I had a small group of friends over for a party. We watched DVDs and played on my Wii and generally had a good laugh lol. So before my birthday I just had to make some invites. I decide to do them using a card folding technique that is really in vogue at the moment called the joy fold. Here is a picture of one of the invites:
Hopefully you will be able to see a remarkable improvement in my photographs. This is due to my birthday present, which I was allowed to use before my birthday, a Nikon digital SLR camera.
Here are some close-ups to show you some of the detail the camera picks up on such as the texture of the cardstock and ribbon.
I also made a paper cake with Tags bags and more cartridge for the cricut. I filled each of the boxes with heroes and gave them as gifts to my guests. Here is a picture of this:
I then decided to do some baking and make myself a birthday cake. I made a chocolate sponge cake first and made it in a silicone mould I then waited for this to cool and turned it out and poured melt chocolate into the mould and placed the cake back in on top and left to cool here are the pictures:
I then also made some other goodies. I made peppermint creams as well as coconut ice.
June- Such a busy month!
Sorry once again for not posting in a while. I always find June to be a very busy month this is due to many birthdays, Fathers Day, my own birthday and the added complication this year of finishing coursework.
The first major thing that happened this month started at 11pm one night, when I decided that my dinning room would be a more useful space if I moved some of the furniture around with the help from my dad this soon became a reality and turned into my very own craft room :)
So now that I have started to get settled into my craft room I have made quite a few project so shall be posting them soon.

Altered Stationary Box- Daisy and Dandelion
Here are the before shots of the stationary box-
Then here are the after shots:
When altering my stationary box I used pieces of pink paper which I used mod podge to glue on then I coated over with the same stuff. I then stamped the daisy and dandelion images on to card stock with an archival ink pad so it would not run and coloured it with water colour pencils and inked the edges with the same ink pad. I also stuck this on with mod podge. The letter on the front of the box where done with the cricut and Pooh font.

D&D APRIL/MAY CRAFT CHALLENGE! 'STAMP IT LOUD & STAMP IT PROUD'
Here is another entry for the challenge. On this card I used the Bubbles and Squeak Clear stamp set along with an Anita’s Happy Birthday background stamp and the Xcut dimensional butterfly punch.
D&D APRIL/MAY CRAFT CHALLENGE! 'STAMP IT LOUD & STAMP IT PROUD'
This is one of my entries for the challenge. I just love the daisy and dandelion stamps so I have just treated myself to the new masculine range of stamps sets. On this card I have also used my new dimensional butterfly punch which I just adore. I also used my favourite colour scheme which is Pink and Brown at the moment just love these colours together. The materials used for this were the daisy and dandelion clear stamp set, Anita’s Butterfly Background stamp and the Xcut dimensional butterfly punch.
To a special Mum
Here is card that I have been making over the past few days. I first created a cut file in Cricut design Studio using George and Basic Shapes and Pooh Font using the Cricut Expression. I then embossed the letters through my sizzix with texture plates. I then decorated the word book with cardstock that I embossed with my sizzix texture plates and then sanded the card so it stood out more. I then stamped and coloured some forever friends images and inked the edges with a gold ink pad. On some of the forever friends I stamped them again on gold paper and cut out parts such as a heart or present and textured this. I then added some triple embossing done with gold metal magic embossing powder. Once I had done this I printed out the verse and cut it down and inked the edges. I then added a paper flower sprayed with crafty notions creative spray in gold and added a rain dot to the centre. I also cut a butterfly out of gold paper and embossed using a Cuttlebug tag team set. Then to bind it all together I put eyelets through the lot using my crop-a-dile and then put ribbon through and tied it in a bow.
I have also entered this into the forever friends challenge for a different shaped card.
Butterfly Cards
I really like butterflies hence the blog title and the layout. So here are some of the many cards I have made that have butterflies on them.
